Land Based Learning 

 

Our Land Based Learning site is located approximately 10 minutes East of Swan River, Manitoba with easy road access. Parking for buses and vehicles is located at the entrance to the site. Year Round access and usage.

• The site consists of nearly 60 acres. Located beside the Swan River. Just over 2 miles of groomed trails are easily accessible. Ideal for hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing etc... Nature walks, around the campfire teachings, life skills as well as traditional practices and knowledge sharing is offered. Guest speakers, educators are often used in compliment to teachings. Warm up prospecting tent on site for those colder days.

 

• Campsites are available. Bring you own tent or book a stay in one of our tipis.

  • 16’ and 18’ tipis are available   

    • 16’ tipi can accommodate 7 to 8 people

    • 18’ tipi can accommodate 8 to 10 people

 

Meals can be arranged as an option with the education packages. Document requesting student / client details, such as food allergies etc. will be provided to the agency / school  to complete prior to the event.
